For our international deep-tech Start-Up spread around various locations within Europe we are looking for an IT & Development Infrastructure Manager to set up and control our IT Infrastructure and work environment. We are looking for a hands-on person with in-depth experience in a broad field of IT and Development Infrastructure. Your mission in this role is to guarantee a well-functioning and futureproof IT & development infrastructure that enables us to achieve our company goals.  

Your role

Your function will mainly include the following:

  • Setting up ASIC development IT infrastructure & work environments
  • Installation of EDA tools, FAB PDKs and 3rd party IP
  • Administration of license servers 
  • Setting up remote work environments ((including cloud) and secure perimeters
  • Definition and customization of EDA tools, design flows, methodologies, synchronizing tools and automation in close cooperation with the design teams
  • Work on IT infrastructure to analyse and optimize the use and performance of EDA tools across multiple design sites
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain knowledge on tool options; selection of best tools needed for a project
  • Provide local support
  • Linux systems administration
  • Setting up built-systems, simulation environments, regression and continuous integration flows
  • Administration and maintenance of job scheduling systems
  • Administration of revision control systems
  • Administration of bug tracking tools and integration with project management and revision control tools
  • Setting up document management control system

Your profile

  • B.Sc/M.Sc. in Information technology or computer science 
  • > 3 years of working experience in a comparable role
  • Passion for innovation & a sophisticated understanding of technological systems and programming
  • In-depth know-how in Linux, servers support and maintenance, firewalls and security
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: VPN, VNC, setting up VMs, backup systems, revision control tools, CAD tools installation, EDA license servers
  • Familiar with cloud servers (AWS) 
  • Strong scripting skills

Public Funding Project Manager (m/f/d)

Are you a master in acquiring public funding? Do you love to coordinate international consortia? We are expanding our Benelux team with a Deep Tech Public Funding Project Manager to help us acquire public funding and manage the consortia. Your work constitutes an interface between our R&D teams and the academic and industrial partners we collaborate with, and entails identifying public funding streams (national and international), monitoring project implementation, writing and submitting proposals, ensuring compliance with reporting criteria and developing periodical financial and narrative reports as required by the funders.

Your role

  • Identify relevant EU funding opportunities (tenders and grants), manage the preparation of Horizon Europe grant proposals and other public-funded calls
  • Identify relevant funding opportunities in the Netherlands, Belgium and any other country where Axelera AI will have a legal entity
  • Manage the overall preparation, implementation and reporting of publicly funded projects and ensure that work is delivered on time and at the highest standards
  • Contribute to developing Axelera AI’s funding strategy and identifying new funding opportunities, also through other channels than public funding
  • Liaise with Axelera AI’s researchers to develop project ideas and proposals, coordinate researchers’ and partners’ contributions to projects, coordinate with Axelera AI’s Communication Team for the dissemination of project results (e.g. publications, events)
  • Manage all contractual and financial issues with contracting authorities, partners and experts, verify that expenses are eligible and in line with the budget
  • Create, foster and maintain good relationships with partners and funding authorities.
  • Maintain necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials used by the R&D Team as well as other Axelera AI teams

Place of work: Eindhoven (NL), Leuven (BE); home office in BeNeLux.

Your profile

  • University / Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business or political sciences preferable
  • At least 4 years working experience in dealing with EU-funded projects and/or a strong track record in fundraising in the non-profit sector and/or in Europe
  • Excellent writing skills, including on highly technical and economic subjects
  • Knowledge of European funding programs and tendering is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of the European Framework Program for Research (Horizon 2020) contractual and financial rules is desirable
  • Excellent organizing and planning skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, project management and risk assessment
  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines and a large portfolio of opportunities and projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player with strong inter-personal and communication skills in a multinational context.
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential matters
  • Passionate in technology
  • Excellent communication skills in English: verbal and written; knowledge of other EU languages is an asset

VP of engineering (m/f/d)

We are growing fast, therefore we are looking for a natural born leader with an extraordinary technical background to lead our international team of brilliant researchers and engineers which will bring to market a game-changing AI technology.

As VP Engineering you will define the R&D roadmap & key results overseeing with the CTO the activities of the research team to define the future chip architecture and features and the path to production. You will be responsible of the complete chip development from concept to production, help identifying and recruiting the necessary people, and budgeting all the necessary investment.

You will report to the CTO and he will have weekly interactions with company CEO.

 

Your role

  • Provide engineering know-how and expertise in all the areas associated with semiconductor design, engineering, fabrication, packaging, testing and mass production
  • Manage the execution of the design and implementation of the artificial intelligence chip, meeting or exceeding market requirements
  • Plan and organize the activities to meet aggressive schedules
  • Collaborating with software team head to align on specifications, schedule, deliverables, testing
  • Accountable of development cost and schedule
  • Support CTO in developing and executing strategy, technology and product development roadmaps, special initiatives, and engineering best practices
  • Present status of engineering activities to executive management and provide required documentation to CTO in accordance to divisional processes
  • Build, develop, and manage an engineering team capable of carrying out engineering initiatives and supporting long term technology and product development roadmaps
  • Evaluate performance of individuals in the engineering organization, manage
    performance gaps, and set goals for the team consistent with organizational goals
  • Develop, secure, and manage yearly departmental budget
  • Identify, procure, and implement hardware and software tools needed to execute
    engineering initiatives
  • Manage the development of technical and cost proposals to secure funds
  • Participate in meetings with key customers and partners
  • Participate in technical conferences, where appropriate present technical advances at conferences
  • Develop new sources of supply and manage the qualification of suppliers when needed
  • Maintain and manage the new product introduction process and ensure process gates are satisfied to achieve smooth transition to volume manufacturing.
  • Recommend methods, materials and improvement based on product features needs and capabilities
  • Manage and maintain a technology control plan to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Provide technical support for business development activities
  • Reach across divisions to ensure collaborative development activities
  • Travel frequently around our different company offices to meet and coach the team

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Electronics, PhD is a plus
  • Minimum 10-year experience in complex chip design and computing architecture
  • 5-year experience in people and team management
  • Proven successful experience in chip tape-out on 16/12 nm or smaller process node
  • Natural born leader
  • Ambitious and fast paced
  • Working in a structured and organized manner
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) is a must; any other European language is a plus

Office Administrator (m/f)

We are an international Start Up company and growing very fast. We are looking for a highly organized all-round Office Administrator to handle all administrative duties for our Office, Finance and Human Resource department. You will report to our Office Business Manager and work in our HQ in Eindhoven.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the office supplies stock and place orders for stationery, computing gear and furniture in / for all our offices
  • Maintain and update company databases like Oracle Netsuite and Bamboo HR
  • Organize a filing system for all company documents
  • Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
  • Book meeting rooms and prepare badges as required
  • Provide administrative support with our applications for subsidy/grants
  • Provide administrative support to Finance with less complex accounting tasks
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment and onboarding of new employees as e.g. setting up interviews, preparation & publication of job advertisements
  • Administrative support of other HR related tasks as e.g. preparing our employment contracts and work permit applications etc.
  • Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages)
  • Prepare reports, documents, newsletters and presentations with data, as assigned
  • Arrange travel and accommodations upon request
  • Schedule and organize in-house and external events

 

Your profile:

  • You have a HBO degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as an administrative officer, office manager or something similar
  • You want to work for at least 32, but preferably 40 hours a week
  • You live in or near Eindhoven, since you will be working at our HQ
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (written & spoken). Any other European Language is a plus!
  • Experience with MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, and MS Powerpoint specifically)
  • This is plus, but not mandatory: experience with NetSuite and project management program ClickUp
